Description.

The KMST Center Master Plan features a tranquil Zen garden designed as a meditative retreat, integrating natural stone, flowing pathways, and curated plantings to promote calm, reflection, and restorative balance within the campus environment.

The KMST Center Zen Garden is envisioned as a serene sanctuary at the heart of the master plan, offering a contemplative retreat that harmonizes natural elements with carefully crafted spatial design. Inspired by traditional Japanese garden principles, the space blends sculpted stone arrangements, raked gravel patterns, and curated plantings to create a rhythmic balance between texture, form, and stillness. Meandering pathways guide visitors through layered garden rooms, each designed to evoke a gradual transition from active campus life to quiet introspection. Shaded seating areas provide peaceful vantage points overlooking reflective water features and moss-covered landscapes, encouraging meditation, mindfulness, and restoration. As a unifying landscape element, the Zen Garden enriches the KMST Center experience by promoting a deeper connection to nature, intentional movement, and emotional well-being.

Zen Garden.

Designed as a restorative anchor within the KMST Center, the Zen Garden offers a quiet landscape of harmony and balance, inviting visitors to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the surrounding natural beauty.
