STOA designed Felix Cook Elementary School in Houston, Texas, as a vibrant, student-centered learning environment that integrates modern educational spaces with sustainable design elements to support academic growth and community engagement.
STOA designed Felix Cook Elementary School in Houston, Texas, to accommodate up to 850 students in alignment with Houston ISD’s educational specifications. The school features academic and specialized classrooms for Pre-K through fifth grade, including dedicated spaces for special education programs. Supporting facilities include a media and resource center, science and technology labs, art and music rooms, and a full-service kitchen adjoining a flexible commons and dining area. The design also incorporates administrative offices, health and medical services, and dedicated areas for physical education, maintenance, and staff support — creating a well-rounded environment that fosters learning, creativity, and community connection.
