Description.
At the epicenter of the Cypress Creek Cultural District, the George H.W. Bush community center is a hub for over 1.4 million residents and civic organizations.
Located in the heart of the Cypress Creek Cultural District, the George H.W. Bush Community Center underwent a major renovation by STOA Architects following Hurricane Harvey, revitalizing the 24,500-square-foot facility. The two-phase project updated the aging 1980s façade, reconfigured the interior for improved flow, and upgraded mechanical systems and finishes. Materials were thoughtfully selected to complement the nearby Barbara Bush Library, while the site now features enhanced landscaping, walking paths, and a memorial honoring President Bush—creating a modern, accessible, and community-focused space.
