Description.
STOA modernized this Rayzor Hall classroom to deliver a streamlined, technology-enabled learning environment supporting contemporary instructional needs.
In conjunction with the Rayzor 119 remodel, Rice University selected STOA to renovate this single classroom at Rayzor Hall to align with the updated classroom standard. The existing configuration was re-designed to match the Rayzor 119 model, creating consistency across instructional spaces. Working within a tight budget and accelerated schedule, STOA collaborated closely with the pre-selected General Contractor to develop a trade permit drawing set, expediting the permitting process. STOA also partnered with Rice’s IT/AV Group to integrate advanced audiovisual systems along with automated lighting and mechanical controls. Upgrades included new LED lighting and controls, a ceiling-mounted projector and screen, and a new technology fur-out wall with FSR box at the lectern to support modern instructional needs.
